We just returned home from another glorious stay at your lovely, cozy cottages. It was so relaxing and the surroundings were just
perfect for a home away from home. The cottage was sparkling clean and had every amenity one could ask for…right down to the wine glasses!
Sitting on the screened porch in the early morning was reminiscent of an earlier time in my life. We have found a little piece of
paradise at the Wheel In Cottages and we are sure to return.

Dear Elke,
This is a very belated “Holiday E-Mail” but we send it with our most heartfelt best wishes for 2008.
We have been talking about you lately. I was on vacation for the holidays and stayed home with the kids.
The weather was not so good and we had to improvise indoor games. Guess what the most successful one was?
PACKING FOR OUR CAPE COD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!! We spent one full afternoon dragging sleeping bags and suit cases
around pretending we were going to “our” cottage on Cape Cod and see Elke!!!! The kids loved it
and kept talking about our wonderful time at the beach, playing with your cat Reagan, playing on the deck,
taking a shower “outside” etc.. They are also intent on bringing their bikes next time
so we can go on the trail right behind the cottage!
We have stayed at your place only twice, but The Wheel In Cottages have already become a family tradition.
The kids love it, and we do too.
We are looking forward to our next stay. I am trying to get organized right now and will contact you as
soon as I have exact dates.
Also thank you so much for the picture you sent us! It is so rare to have one of the five of us and
it reminded me of such a beautiful day!
See you this summer!

Having grown up around Boston as a young girl, I thought I knew the Cape. I stand corrected.
I initially found Wheel In Cottages on the Internet. I liked what I saw of the cottages
and the surrounding area. As a mother of two young ones (6 months and 2 ½ then), I was
concerned about my first on line vacation purchase. After talking with Elke further and learning
more, I had a great sense of what this magical place could offer my family.
Not only are the Wheel In Cottages centrally located to many of the Cape's best beaches and the
National Seashore, many other family fun activities are close by. Like the bike path, a Drive-In
movie Theater, the Flea market, Ice cream, Golf courses, Kayaking and mom's favorite Restaurants
are near by.
The cottages have plenty of room for a family of four. They are cozy and are well equipped with
everything you would need. The surrounding gardens, decks and picnic table areas made my family
feel right at home.
We have been returning
for 6 years now and
will continue our family
tradition for many more years to come. I am
confident you will feel the same way, once
you have stayed at Wheel In Cottages.

"We looked forward to our first family
vacation to Cape Cod for a long time. We found
Wheel In Cottages through the Internet. When
we arrived, we were absolutely delighted when
we drove up the driveway and saw three beautiful
cottages with overflowing flower boxes and shaded
by trees!
When we walked in, I felt just like Goldilocks -- not too big, not too small -- it was just right
for my husband, our two young children and me. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed
for the week. The location was perfect for us -- very close to ocean and bay beaches, and the little
path behind the cottage led right to the "bike trail."
If we could have a "home away from home," this would be it. Part of me wants to tell everyone about
this beautiful little place, and another part of me would rather just keep it a secret! Will we be back?
Absolutely!"

Dear Elke-
Thanks for a wonderful week at the Cape. As always, the cottage was spotlessly clean, making
it easy to settle in and feel at "home" in short order. With "my" cottage being but a few "pedal
strokes" from the Cape Code bike path, not only can I bike long distances on my more ambitious days,
I also can bike quickly to either Marconi Beach or Nauset Light Beach to enjoy sandy beaches, surf,
and seals. Being able to so easily access these and other great beaches in the National Seashore
makes Wheel In Cottages ideally located for me. After a day on the beach or biking, I found the
cottage deck a great place to unwind, to enjoy the flowers, the oak trees, and the squirrels of course.
With its great location, its immaculately maintained cottages, and its rustic setting, Wheel In Cottages
remains my first choice when vacationing on the Cape.
Best wishes for a great season!

We have been coming
out to the Wheel
In Cottages for
the past five seasons.
We find the quiet natural atmosphere very relaxing. The accommodations are quite
comfortable and Elke is a gracious proprietor.
The Proximity to the National Seashore and all of the programs (canoeing on the marsh,
wildlife studies and walks, tour of historical lighthouses and buildings are a joy to
folks like ourselves.
We look forward to returning to Wheel In Cottages every year.

We have been vacationing
on Cape Cod for
over 25 years; the last 11 have been at Wheel
In Cottages. Elke Brueckner, the owner, has
been a friend from day one - we love her!
Elke makes you feel right at home as soon
as you drive in. The cottages are very clean,
comfortable, secure and have such a peaceful
Cape Cod atmosphere. They are quiet, yet close
to beautiful beaches, great restaurants and
there are many things to do in the area.
From biking, hiking, bird-watching to shopping, miniature golf, outdoor concerts and so much more!
We wouldn't think of staying anyplace else on the Cape!

We have stayed at Wheel
In Cottages for
five consecutive
years now and look
forward to returning
in the years to
come. Our cottage
-- the Chicken
Coop -- is private,
quiet, clean and
comfortable and
the location is perfect for our family. We
have two young boys (9 and 7 this past summer)
who love the beach and love to bicycle. Wheel
In is very close to the Cape Cod National
Seashore beaches (our favorite is Marconi,
just up the road) and the Cape Cod Rail Trail
(just through the woods behind the cottage)
-- a great place to bicycle. There
are so many other
places nearby that we enjoy visiting on our
vacation: the drive-in movie theater, the
driving range, the donut shop (and that's
just the d's).
It's great to see Elke every summer: she's
friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and very
welcoming (she saved our vacation this year
with an emergency referral to a dentist).
These past five summers at Wheel In have been
a great combination of familiar pleasures
and new adventures.

We have spent 3 vacations at the Wheel In Cottages, and would return again at any opportunity.
We are particularly drawn to the relaxed and secluded nature of the cottages, as well as their
ideal location on the Outer Cape. The cottages are roomy, clean, comfortable, very well equipped,
and with a true 'cottage' feel. We have never needed any implement that we couldn't find. The
convenience of being on Rte 6, but nestled back in the woods is the best of both worlds, especially
with the direct access to the bike path!
The proximity of our favorite beaches, Marconi, Coast Guard and Nauset Light can't be improved upon,
allowing quick access for boogie boarding. We like just about everything in the Eastham - Wellfleet
area of the Outer Cape, and the Wheel In Cottages allow us to enjoy it all.

What can we say about
Wheel In Cottages?
We have been returning
to this quaint, cozy, set-in-the-woods vacation
spot for 6 years. It is nestled along the
National Seashore just of the main road. The
surrounding woods make us feel removed from
the hustle and bustle. The cottages are clean
and have a warm feel to them. The many hanging
plants and the comfortable furnishings on
the porch of "our cottage" add
to that at-home
feeling.
Elke has shared 'local' information with us over the years and we are now in the "know" of the Cape.
Our favorite beach is 1 mile away. We have enjoyed coming back year after year, and find new ways to enjoy
a quiet week on the Cape in September.

We have taken a total of seventeen Cape Cod vacations. In our first five trips, there was always
something that wasn't quite right. In 1997, we were fortunate enough to find Wheel-In Cottages.
We have vacationed there for twelve consecutive years (1997-2009) and we have already booked our 2010
vacation. Wheel-In Cottages has everything we need to create an ideal home-away-from-home for our
family. The cottages are roomy, spotlessly clean, ideally located, and furnished with every possible
convenience. We could not imagine spending a Cape Cod vacation anywhere else. To quote our children:
"If you're looking for comfort, look no further than Wheel-In Cottages", and "If you like basketball
and the beach, this is the place".
